I recently realized that I can start outsourcing my finance memes at an alarming rate. The worst place on the internet, reddit, may be of use to me after all. Wallstreetbets/ is a panic inducing subreddit were investors basically wager their entire life on Robinhood. It is hilarious and concerning at the same time and is why I am not a big fan of Robinhood. The community is fairly toxic but with toxicity comes one thing, memes. Ive been making my own memes for the best 6 months and it’s a lot of work! You have to find the right picture, download it, think of a caption and the post it everywhere. To much work for me! Well there is a Chrome extension that will just download all the pictures and videos to a certain limit on the entire reddit page! If I do this once a day I can just post those pictures on my various social media accounts and just do basic stupid captions. This will save me time by not having to make the memes and I will have more content then ever before. My BJJ instructor always posted memes on his facebook page and I wondered were he got them. I should have asked him but maybe this is how hes doing it. Memes are so digestible and trick the onlooker into reading them so they are fairly effective. A great poster of memes, Elon Musk, once said “Who controls the memes, controls the Universe.” If its one thing that Robinhood users love more than buying $TSLA is Elon Musk memes.
