Long distance traveling is probably the greatest way to get to know someone. Being trapped in a plane or car will test the limits of any individual, especially any relationship. In my quarter century on being on this planet I have been on my fair share of cross country road trips and plane rides across the world. The people I have traveled with probably know me better than anyone could ever. If you travel on a strict budget there are going to be multiple headaches and how you cross the roads is indicate how you can handle stress. There is something about trying to catch a 6am flight in Bangkok that puts your back against a wall. Dealing with different currencies, languages is no easy task and problems will come up. Luckily I have some great friends that are very relax and are quick on their feet. If you are going to marry someone, drive across the country and you will find out if it will work out in the long term. Its the faster version of moving in with someone. How you handle problems as a team will be foretelling of how you handle big life decisions down the road. I cant stress the importance of this enough.
