LinkedIn and Selling
Since the pandemic posts on LinkedIn and the beginning of emails have been tough to read. The usually post on LinkedIn is usually copy and pasted (most social media) but LinkedIn its blatantly obvious because if you are on the platform long enough you will see the same exact post word for word almost 10 times in a year. But with a new pandemic comes with new content and new copy and paste material. Of course, everyone is worried about one another, its implied. You don’t need to remind me that there is a global pandemic, were thousands are dying and unemployed, when you lead off your sales email asking me about your tech service that is overpriced. The façade of your acting like you care is hurting you more than if you just made another random intro. Is this just me? Probably but its business as usual when it comes to emails and posts for me. Everyone is living through this (for months) and I don’t need to read a 2-sentence intro about COVID were you wish I am okay. I know you hope I am okay! Why else would you be reaching out? It seems insincere and a gimmick like what big companies and celebrities were doing at the start of this thing where they were saying we are all in this together. The public hated that because these people don’t care about money and are preaching about it in their mansion. It’s a tone-deaf take. You bringing it up in every post and email is a mini version of that.
