The “smartest” groups of people right now are getting everything wrong it seems. Millions of kids right now are going to college if they haven’t left already. Many schools are blowing up with Covid cases and are looking to send kids back. If colleges are worried about high cases then why did they even allow students back in the first place? Could you imagine being a parent, dropping your kid off, and then a week later they have to come back. Moving is a massive headache and doing that so close together would make me go insane. Move In dates are usually on Thursday and Friday so parents probably took the day off to move them in so they will probably have to do it again. How did colleges not see this coming. Money is probably the biggest reason they wanted the students to come so they could justify the parents paying for housing for that semester. Thank goodness I did not have to go through this entire ordeal. I was offered to drop out to take over Clay Financial and if this was the current situation I would probably have done it on the spot. Just like the state, local and federal government, it seems that colleges cant make a decision on what to do with COVID. They need to follow through with whatever is happening and not play with peoples lives. This will have such an adverse effect on college profits going forward and it will be interesting to see it play out from afar.
