Working for yourself vs Being employed

Working in an office was the most life draining experiences in my life. The two internships I had was me trading my time looking at a clock for “experience” and money. The office jobs I’ve held I milked every second of it buy taking walks, reading, studying, leaving early and looking for any excuse to leave my desk. It’s a draining life with almost no upside.

The blue-collar life, in my opinion, is more fun but draining in other ways. The time flies and it is a great way to stay in shape but the wear and tear on your body is extreme and not conducive towards ones health down the line. The people are extensively more enjoyable than white collar people. You are judged by carrying your fair share of work instead of weird social structures and politics.

The one thing that holds them together is that both blue and white collar workers would rather be working on something that they were passionate about on their own time. If its by retirement or by quitting and starting a business you will never see someone who escapes the "collar" life come back.
